Goldrush Casino
Las Vegas, NV
1/20/08
The scene that we open up to is a hectic one. We see a small room with many people standing around inside of it, most of them “Fortune 500” types that have expensive designer suits and dresses on and wear smiles, presumably fake ones, as they talk to some of the people around them and generally act like they’re having a good time. Some music plays in the background and we see some people coming into this room from another room connected to it as well as some people going into the other rooms. We see several televisions in the other room with what appears to be football playing on them. All of a sudden we hear a loud “fuck yeah” from the other room and the camera pans in on a bar there with several people sitting at it. A guy in a suit with salt and pepper colored hair is counting twenties off and handing them to Simon Sensation, who has his hand outstretched and is wearing khaki pants with a green and white polo shirt. The guy grimaces as he counts off a few more twenties and says in a very disgruntled voice.
Man: There you go, one thousand even.
Simon quickly flips through his newly acquired money and gives it a nod of approval.
Simon Sensation: There, and maybe next time you’ll consider betting on the Giants.
The man gets up and leaves. Simon thumbs through the twenties one more time before finally nodding once more with a sense of finality and places it in his right front pocket. Just as he does so, Johnny Moxie fights his way through the crowd and sits on the stool the guy had been on.
Johnny Moxie: Hey, Si, good game wasn’t it?
Simon smirks and looks at Johnny.
Simon Sensation: I don’t think that the guy who was sitting here before you enjoyed it much, though. His wife is going to probably be wondering where his paycheck went this week.
Johnny looks a little confused and Simon pats the pocket with the money in it and a look of understanding creeps onto Johnny’s face.
Johnny Moxie: Swindling money away from your father’s VIP’s, are you?
Simon shrugs a shoulder.
Simon Sensation: Hey, I’ll use that money much more wisely than they would.
Johnny raises an eyebrow and reaches into the pocket of the dark blue sports coat he’s wearing and pulls out a box of Orbit gum.
Johnny Moxie: Yeah, right. What will you use it on that they wouldn’t? Hookers?
He takes a stick of gum and places it in his mouth after asking this. Simon’s cheeks get somewhat red at these questions.
Simon Sensation: Well, you know, they do work hard.
Johnny just shakes his head and sighs.
Johnny Moxie: Good grief. Remember when I took you to that brothel in London?
Simon looks at him and nods, then reaches and grabs a bottle of beer off of the bar and takes a swig from it.
Simon Sensation: Yeah, those where good times, man. Most of those broads were homely as hell, but let me tell you something, you get them in the dark and you quickly forget about their rotten teeth and unibrows.
Johnny smirks slightly and then rolls his eyes.
Johnny Moxie: No, you tipped them what? Fourty five percent of what we were paying them originally? We spent more at that brothel than we did our entire trip to England! If we let you loose right now on the hookers of Vegas you’d blow that one grand in probably fifteen minutes.
Simon snickers and takes another sip of beer.
Simon Sensation: What a fifteen minutes that would be, though. My god, that would be better than fifteen minutes in the ring with Anthony Pheonix and odds are that this two out of three classic wrestling match between him and I this Tuesday will probably end up going fifteen minutes.
Johnny smirks now and crumples up the wrapper from the stick of gum he had and bats it back and forth between his hands on the bar top.
Johnny Moxie: So, facing Phoenix again? This time it’s on the Three Year Anniversary Show, right?
Simon nods and sighs, as if he’s disappointed.
Simon Sensation: It’s for the NSWA Championship, too.
Johnny hits the crumpled wrapper sideways at hearing this and it soars off the bar top.
Johnny Moxie: The NSWA Championship? They’re giving you a shot at it this soon after you won a title shot at Soul Survivor?
Simon nods and begins to peel the corner of his beer bottle’s label.
Simon Sensation: Yeah, and I have to admit that I’m kind of disappointed that I’m getting the title shot now.
Johnny seems surprised and shifts on his stool.
Johnny Moxie: Well christ, you aren’t asking for much are you? You wanted a title shot, you have it this week, what more do you want?
Simon sighs impatiently and says in a low tone.
Simon Sensation: Well, getting the title shot isn’t the problem. Look at the roster, most of those guys would kill for a title shot. Brent Carter? He may be Television Champion but he’s a nobody until he wins the NSWA Championship. Rip Thomas? Odds are he’d sell his soul to get another shot at the NSWA Championship. Everybody on the roster would kill to get a shot at that title and I’m no exception. I’m fucking psyched to be getting another shot at the title, but I’m just kind of let down that this match between Phoenix and I isn’t happening at a pay per view. I mean, imagine if Phoenix and I would have faced off at Highway to Hell. The buy rate would have been through the roof.
Johnny smirks and shakes his head.
Johnny Moxie: So? A title shot is still a title shot. Hopefully you take advantage of this match. I mean, let’s face it, you may not even be getting this match if it wasn’t for Mr. Pain.
Simon cringes and takes a deep breath.
Simon Sensation: Never, ever, utter that man’s name again.
Johnny raises his eyebrows and quips.
Johnny Moxie: What? Mr. Pain?
Simon’s lip quivers and he shakes his head.
Simon Sensation: Please, let’s just talk about Phoenix and never mind who you just mentioned.
Johnny chuckles and shakes his head. He leans forward, resting his elbows and forearms against the bar top.
Johnny Moxie: Come on, you can’t even begin to talk about this match without mentioning Pain. Face the facts, he helped you win at Soul Survivor and it’s because of him that you have this title match.
Simon shakes his head and closes his eyes, obviously not wanting to hear any of this. When Moxie finishes, he opens his eyes and says harshly.
Simon Sensation: Pain did NOT help me beat Anthony Phoenix, okay? I beat Phoenix because, simply put, I’m better than him in every way imaginable. Pain did stick his nose into that match but he did not help me win. I won on my own and you know what?
He looks at Johnny and turns slightly on his stool.
Simon Sensation: Just between you and I, when I do beat Phoenix for the NSWA Championship because look at things and smell the coffee, it’s inevitable, I won’t give Pain a shot at the title unless I absolutely have to because I don’t think he deserves it. I mean, what does he think, that by interfering in a main event on pay per view and spoiling a great match up for the fans he’ll get a guaranteed title shot? Please, at least people know who Anthony and I are. I’d be willing to wager this grand in my pocket that at least six out of ten average NSWA fans probably don’t even remember Pain. What did he ever do for the company anyways?
Johnny laughs and looks thoughtfully across the bar.
Johnny Moxie: Oh, gee, I don’t know. Maybe he had one of the best feuds in NSWA history with Rage?
Simon shakes his head and finishes off his beer.
Simon Sensation: Come on, everybody that is anybody in this business would know that the best feud in NSWA’s history is the feud that mad this company. Me versus Rip. That whole Pain versus Rage thing was the biggest pile of crap I had ever seen. They never did much besides feud over the measly International Championship. That’s it. But you know, I’m going to try and not let this Pain thing even bother despite the fact that everybody is prancing around saying that he helped me win.
Johnny shakes his head in thought.
Johnny Moxie: But he did help you win.
Simon looks at him with a nasty gaze and says harshly.
Simon Sensation: That is just your opinion. From the way I saw things, I beat Phoenix. Not Pain. Okay?
Johnny nods and the two sit down in awkward silence for several moments before Johnny finally speaks up.
Johnny Moxie: So, have you heard the rumors?
Simon looks over at him, now trying to keep himself occupied by peeling the beer bottle’s label even further.
Simon Sensation: What rumors? Do you mean the Fleetwood Mac CD? Because that is a good CD.
Johnny chuckles slightly.
Johnny Moxie: No. The rumors that you and Ben Eckford may be joining back up to form that tag team you two had back in TNA.
Simon smiles and nods.
Simon Sensation: Oh, you mean Sensational Blood?
Johnny nods.
Johnny Moxie: Yeah, it’s been all over the internet. Pro Wrestling Between the Sheets had a good report on it. Is it true?
Simon shakes his head with a grin.
Simon Sensation: Come on, Johnny, you wrestled in EWF. Tell me, is there merit in everything the internet reports? It’d be nice to go after the NSWA Tag Team Championships again, especially after I become NSWA Champion for an unprecedented fourth time, but I don’t know about having Ben Eckford as a tag team partner. I mean…..
He runs his hand over his face and then through his dark brown hair.
Simon Sensation: Having Ben as a tag partner was good and all when I first started but teaming with him now? He’d have to prove that he deserves to be in the same corner as me because I’ve accomplished so much while he’s had chance after chance to start to make a name for himself but besides owning NSWA briefly he’s done shit. If I was to chose a tag partner, I’d rather have someone like Rip Thomas or maybe Jesse James, you know?
He sighs and shakes his head.
Simon Sensation: It’s amazing what the internet comes out with today about us. It makes you wonder if those geeks running the rumor sites have any lives besides giving play by play commentary on ours. Anyways, I have to get going.
He sighs once more as he stands up and pushes his stool in.
Simon Sensation: This grand in my pocket is burning a hole and I hear the poker tables out there in the casino calling my name.
Johnny nods and says before Simon manages to turn and walk away.
Johnny Moxie: Hey man, shouldn’t you be getting ready for your match with Phoenix? It’s only in a few days.
Simon seems to scoff at this idea.
Simon Sensation: How? This two out of three falls match plays right into my hands, man. What am I going to do? Hire a washed up nobody like Brad Armstrong to try and help me train and give me advice? Please, I don’t need to work hard to get ready for this match. Mentally I’m ready and Physically I’m more than ready. I hope that Phoenix is ready though, because we won’t be having a match this Tuesday night as much as we will a brawl.
With this, he nods a goodbye to Johnny and walks off into the crowd.

Scene Two
Promo
1/21/08
The scene opens up to the image of Simon Sensation sitting down in the first row of seats at ringside, wearing a gray suit with a white button up. The NSWA ring has already been put up and the tron and video screen have been erected as well. The arena is complete and ready for tomorrow’s Three Year Anniversary Show. Everything is set, that is, except for the thousands of screaming fans in the stands. The arena is dark, save for a few lights that have been left on the leave the ring illuminated as well as the entrance ramp and tron area. Simon leans back in his chair and extends his arms across the backs of the chairs next to him. After several seconds, he begins to speak.
Simon Sensation: Tomorrow night, the match that everybody has been waiting for will finally happen.
He pauses and nods towards the ring with a thoughtful gaze.
Simon Sensation: In that very ring the world will watch as the man that built NSWA from the ground up and represents this company’s past goes one on one with the man that currently holds the top prize in this promotion and some say, represents the future of the NSWA.
He pauses once more and sighs as he leans forward slightly, lowering his arms from the back of the chairs.
Simon Sensation: Yep, tomorrow night at the Three Year Anniversary Show I will go one on one with Anthony Phoenix and whoever walks out of this match with their hand raised will be the NSWA Champion. I have to admit that this match in itself is a huge match that simply put, has huge implications for the NSWA no matter who wins or loses. But the front office decided to make the match all that much more bigger by tossing this match on the Three Year Anniversary show. Now, everybody will get to see the match and they won’t even need to fork over any money for it because it’s not on pay per view.
He leans forward completely now, resting his elbows on his lap.
Simon Sensation: But, in all honesty have to admit as an individual that this one match against Anthony is probably going to be the biggest match of my career. I know that the whole “biggest match of my career” thing is probably the most cliched expression in professional wrestling but it’s true. I mean, look at everybody that I’ve won the NSWA Championship from. Calvin Mirage, Glen Sexton and Daredevil. None of them have the credentials that Anthony Phoenix has. In that respect, I have to admit that this match is going to be a huge challenge. I mean, Anthony is probably going to be the most difficult opponent that I’ve ever had to face in a title match, and that’s the truth even though it’s not saying much.
He pauses and leans back once more, looking with an amused expression towards the ring.
Simon Sensation: But, Anthony, don’t get a big head because believe me, just because I admit that you’re good doesn’t mean that you’re Simon Sensation.
He smiles.
Simon Sensation: Because I know you pretty good, Phoenix. I actually broke you into NSWA, for those fans who may not know I welcomed Phoenix into my Generation Next stable back in 2005 with open arms and look at what he’s accomplished.
He pretends to wipe a tear from his eyes.
Simon Sensation: I know that you and I are pretty much the same age, Anthony, but I feel like a father watching his child grow up when I see what you were when I welcomed you into Generation Next and then see what you have accomplished. But when I think about things a bit more, it’s not hard for me to see that I’m not a father as much as I am a mad scientist and you are the monster that I have created.
He closes his eyes and shakes his head.
Simon Sensation: Anthony, I took you under my wing back then because I thought that you had potential and I thought you could be the next big thing in NSWA. But I kicked you out because I saw you for what you were, a talentless hack. Back then you called yourself what was it? The Devil’s Reject? I mean, when I put you under my wing I figured you’d live up to your nickname and prove yourself to be one tough son of a bitch, but in the end you couldn’t even win the NSWA Television title at November 2 Remember ‘05. But you’ve won many titles since then. So, I was wrong and misjudged you when I kicked you out of Generation Next, right?
He grins and shakes his head.
Simon Sensation: I know that you’ve won a shit load of titles and you’re a Grand Slam Champion and all that jazz, but let’s face the cold, hard facts. You won’t even be close to being remembered as the best until you beat me, one on one in an NSWA Championship match.
He turns his gaze from the ring to the camera and grins bitterly.
Simon Sensation: And it looks like you’ll have your shot this Tuesday night. In a two out of three falls match we’ll face off and I’m psyched for this match, to be honest with you. You can call yourself the Devil’s Reject, Xtreme Saint, Xtreme Reject or Boondock Saint or whatever you want to call yourself but in the end, I am going to prove to the world that you are nothing but a dime a dozen jack-off when I beat you and take your title.
He takes a deep breath and goes on.
Simon Sensation: I know that everybody is talking about how Mr. Pain helped me beat you at Soul Survivor, but in my mind, Phoenix, I still beat you. In the record books it doesn’t say that Pain beat you, it says that I did and that’s all that matters. Believe me, Phoenix, people may call this a battle of NSWA’s past and NSWA’s future, but when I look at things I see that they are wrong.
He looks down at his legs and shakes his head.
Simon Sensation: I’m not with a walker yet. I don’t have gray hair, I’m not old. Hell. I’m barely twenty four. No, when I look at this match all I see is NSWA’s biggest superstar ever versus some little wanna be punk that only wishes that he could even be half as successful as “The King of Gaijin” has been throughout his entire career, not just in NSWA. You see, no matter what you accomplish and no matter who wins this Tuesday night, Anthony, one thing will remain the same. I will still be the measuring stick in this company. Everybody that passes through an NSWA ring will always strive to be like me and you know what? I think that you are no different. You want to be like me. Deep down inside, you wish that you could be as big a star as I am.
He pauses for several moments before finally saying.
Simon Sensation: Yes, this Tuesday’s match between us is probably going to be the hugest match in NSWA history, but it will be so for several reasons. It’ll be the match that marks my return to the top of this company. It’ll mark the return of Mr. NSWA to where he belongs and it’ll mark my fourth NSWA Championship reign. Yes, when you look at this match what do you see? The Gold Standard of NSWA versus Anthony Phoenix. Mr. NSWA versus Anthony Phoenix. The biggest name to ever set foot in an NSWA ring versus Anthony Phoenix.
He sighs and stands up.
Simon Sensation: I hope you’re ready for this match, Anthony, because I am, and I’m ready for nothing short of winning and winning is something that I'm no stranger to.
With this he smiles at the camera and slowly walks off as the scene fades.
