Who do you think is going to end up where? And who do you think your team is going to go after?

I want Miami to sign Jason Brown from Baltimore.
If we got Housh, great, but he's a little old to break the bank for.
I'd also like to sign anyone that would allow us to kick Will Allen to the curb.

I want the Saints to re-sign Vilma and I hope we can get a good corner and/or safety, but we don't have much cap room.

Miami has done good so far. though they haven't brought in any new guys yet, they have done real well in keeping a good core group of guys around. Gabriel Wilson is the "newest" addition I guess they are hoping its the same as with DeAngelo Hall, that the Raiders D was just that bad.
You guys have Bill making the football decisions so you guys are in good hands, whatever moves he decides to make will most likely turn out great for you guys, also you could go after Coles from the Jets, seeing as Bill was the one who drafted him with the jets. And Pennington has chemistry with him already.

Coles is a mistake, too injury prone. But at the same time I would be OK with it if it happened.
I dunno about Free Agency, but I am so very hoping that Jeremy Maclin does not wind up in Football Purgatory, also known as being a member of the Oakland Raiders organization.

Doesn't matter who the Lions draft, we're going to go 0-16 again. Woo!

Ah Free Agency.
I'm going to feel sick for a long time if Dawkins doesn't get resigned by the Eagles.

I hope the Colts pick up a key Wide Receiver to fill our number 3 gap. (Anthony Gonzalez will likely take over Marvin Harrisons spot.) Also, I would love to get a good linebacker, defensive tackle and corner to bulk up our Defense.
Dawkins not in a eagle uniform is just nuts, though as a Skins fan, I'm not mad to see him leave the east.

What you think about the acquisition of Haynesworth, re-signing of DeAngelo Hall, and the release of Shawn Springs?
Springs when healthy is one of the better corners in the league, paying haynesworth and hall that money kind of worries me, because well hall only put together a good second half to the season after he was exploited in Oakland, if the moves pan out our Defense could end up being amazing, the signing of Dockery helps out the O line, I think we should get Hunter Smith the punter from Indy, and maybe another o-lineman before we head in to the draft.

I'm going to miss Weapon X. He got a great deal though.

Yeah but come on, restructure his deal, he would have done it. Dawkins is a beast, and given the late run he had winning alot of games for you guys down the stretch they should show some loyalty to the guy. Like when the skins let Art Monk go. Not a cool move

Well, my Saints re-signed Vilma like I hoped they would and are getting a visit from Darren Sharper...that could be nice. :)

The thing with Dawkins is, and I really wanted him to stay, but he wasn't worth 4-5 million a year right now. He's not very good in coverage and he ended up being used more as an extra linebacker than a safety. The fact that most of his big plays were at or behind the line of scrimmage isn't because he's a good rusher, it's because Dawk lost a few steps in coverage.
I think Jimmie Johnson wants a coverage safety since Quintin Mikell and Sheldon Brown can put on big hits as a extra rusher themselves.

To get your numbers correct, it was over 2.2 million. Now I think 2.2 million is not much to pay considering what he brings to you on and off the field. Mainly in the locker room. If I were an Eagle fan, I would be extremely upset by this move over a poultry amount. The Eagles drop the ball on this one.

Dawkins is getting paid by Denver 9 million if his contract is voided after two years, and 7.2 if he only last one. I said 4-5 because I don't know if the 9 million is front loaded or back loaded, plus I forgot the guaranteed money.
Dawkins signed a five-year, $17 million deal that includes $7.2 million guaranteed, reports NFL Network's Adam Schefter. The contract also has escalators that could boost the value of the deal to $27 million over five years, but the deal also could be voided to two years, $9 million, reports Schefter.
That's an insane amount of money for Dawk, and it ain't no 2.2 million. There is no way the Eagle should have matched the money he got from Denver. 7.2 million guaranteed is insane. Especially since he lost a few steps in coverage and is in a division with Phillip Rivers and Matt Cassel now. I don't think Dawk is with Denver next year.
2.2 million is what the Eagles would have paid to keep him on the roster, he wasn't in a contract year he was cut. For a poultry amount of money. Who cares if most of his plays were behind the line, he still made the plays. 2.2 million to keep the leader and heart of that team, seems like it shouldn't be that big of a deal. He wanted to be an Eagle. No loyalty in the "Not For Long" league.

He wasn't cut, he was free agent. His contract was up. They decide to let him test free agency to see if he could get a better deal. Where did you get the idea he was cut?
Oh ok I misread the article I was reading they offered him 2.2 million a year. But either way man as an Eagle fan you know what he brings to that team is far more important then having lost a step, he hasn't lost the passion to play and I can say that without his big plays down the stretch the eagles would not have made that late run. Not to mention I think just him being on the field makes everyone else around him accountable, kinda like what Ray brings to the Ravens, sure Ray has probably lost a step but what he brings to that team like Dawkins is an unmeasurable quality.

They showed loyalty. They offered him 4.2 million guaranteed for a two year deal. You can't just pay someone an outrageous sum because they've been on the team for 13 years. He's going to be 36 by the start of the next season, he can't cover like he use to. You can't drop 4-5 million against the cap for a player who, while loved, has lost a few steps.
The eagles stand now, with 40 some million in cap room, 11 draft picks and a few good safeties still on the market. Plus they like Quintin Demps. You can't sign a defensive player to a contract till they're 40 years old.
And yes Dawkins made some impressive plays last year at the line of scrimmage, but the Eagles got beat by Arizona not at the line of scrimmage but in coverage, and it's not Asante Samuel or Sheldon Brown that are lacking in coverage skills.
I'm happy Dawk got the deal he wanted, I'd have been pissed if the Eagles gave him that kind of money though. It was a hard choice, but the Eagles never get rid of a player they feel is irreplaceable.
stuff
Here's the deal with Dawkins.
Has he lost a lot of his speed in coverage? Sure, and you can account that to his age. However, Dawkins was the NFC's Defensive Player of the Month in December, the most important month of the regular season. He had a great season up until the NFC title game, and was voted into the Pro Bowl. He is universally considered a future Hall of Famer. Brian Dawkins is the best defensive player the Eagles have had since Reggie White, and is probably the best defensive player in Eagles history except for White.
I don't know exactly what the Eagles were offering him (I heard a two-year deal for $3.5 mil), but if a guy who has put his body on the line for your team and organization for 13 years, who has given so much to your team and your community and asks for little in return (by the standards of most NFL safeties, Dawkins was underpaid for his level of play), wants to actually negotiate and you offer to let him try free agency, that just shows you as a cheap sumbitch. It also doesn't help if you're $48 mill under the cap and don't try to make use of it. Joe Banner's business model has always been to get cheap players and throw caution to the wind; either way the Eagles make millions of dollars of year.
And there's no way to protest, because the games will still sellout, and the waiting list for season tickets will continue to grow, and the organization will still continue to ignore the fans and let them down like an abused girlfriend.
So I'm done with them. The whole organization. I thought I was close after their horrible spots last year, but this action just made me seeth in rage all weekend. It is a disgrace to Dawkins and the fans, and only proves that the Eagles don't care about winning championships as much as they do turning a profit. I'm pulling myself out of that machine, because I've grown tired of it.

TO has been cut by the Cowboys.
Obviously, everybody thinks he's going to go to the Raiders, but honestly, if TO really wants to win, he'll take a pay cut and go to a contender.
If TO really wanted to win, he should have just stopped whining everytime something didn't go his way. I think it would be nice to see just nobody sign him. And let him sit out of football til he files his retirement papers. Talented yeah, but the guys an ass.

I see him going to a team with an elite quarterback but no real threat at wide receiver. Not sure who (if any) fit that criteria at the moment, seeing as I just woke up, but that would be who would be desperate enough for him and might appeal to him.

He goes to the Patriots when Brady comes back and he has a Randy Moss-esque turn and stops being an ass and the Patriots have another undefeated season and actually win the Super Bowl this time by kicking Eli Manning in the nuts.
Just watch. It'll happen.

He goes to the Patriots when Brady comes back and he will cause all kinds of team strife and the Patriots complete the second most imperfect season and Tom Brady blows out the other knee.
Just watch. It'll happen.
Fixed
The difference between Moss and TO is simple, TO has been a cancer wherever he goes, even when The Eagles went to the Super Bowl. Most if not allof the character doubts occured with Randy when he was in Oakland, who wouldn't get fed up with a team that has a tendency to lose all the time, and hasn't won anything since the 80's. You can point out they got to the Super Bowl in 02, but come on everyone knew that the Bucs were going to do their thing against Oakland.

Patriots don't want TO. I heard the Skins and Broncos come up, but the Patriots already have one of the most elite receivers in the game. I think he's going to the Raiders though.
Skins don't want TO. On Espn earlier they had a list of the teams that would not want TO> On there for various reasons such as the Eagles, from their fiasco. Arizona cause Fitz and Boldin, but 30 teamsare out of the loop, the only team that consistently pops up is Oakland.

He needs to fuckin' humble himself. You know why the Pats signed Moss, because in Oakland, he humbled himself and came to NE knowing that this was Tom Brady's team, Tom Brady's locker rooom and he's there to compliment the team.
Shit, I'm just happy the Ravens got Ray Lewis back...and they'll draft the kid from Ohio State...James...somethingorother

You a Ravens fan? Not too many of them outside of Bmore. Getting Ray back is the best thing. Im sad to see Bart Scott leave but he is no Ray Lewis, besides everyone who was a star on the Ravens has left and not had any success besides Priest Holmes so I would say Bart won't do but so much up in Jersey.
And the kid from Ohio St is James Lauranitis(sp?) He is Road Warrior Animals son. They say he is stock has slipped a lot so maybe using a second rd pick on him isn't a bad idea, but the Ravens need to draft Hakeem Nicks wide receiver from North Carolina. I watched some drills with the top receivers and this kid has the look of a future star and would really be great with Flacco.

1. Brian Dawkins got offered a better deal by the Broncos. Being smart Dawkins was probably going to attempt to play that deal against the Eagles. However Denver probably said to him that if he left the deal would be less money and not guaranteed or something. He wanted to get paid and get paid he did. I'll miss him but it's both sides of the coin here, not just one or the other.
2. TO will work with the Bills. Think about it...new on the scene QB, a decent running game, another solid WR on the other side of the ball. TO could redefine the Bills and push them to the next level. He COULD do that. I doubt he will, but he COULD.
3. The Eagles have like 40 mill under the cap...fucking spend it.

You see the problem with this entire Bills/TO situation is that the QB is new. Wasn't Bledsoe starting in Dallas when TO got there? He gets hurt Romo steps in and TO has his diva moments with the "new on the scene QB."
They also have not just a solid wide receiver but a damn good wideout on the other side. Lee Evans has been quite spectacular ever since he stepped in the league. If he were playing with a different team he'd get a lot more notice but he is stuck in frigid Buffalo. So basically what you have is the same situation you had in Dallas. A decent running game, another good receiver, and a new QB is just the same as before. TO is a diva and needs to be humbled by a proven locker room leader...Ray Lewis maybe?
