Ok, the season finale of this amazing show was last night on HBO, has anyone else been watching? Seriously, funniest most surreal new show I've watched in years. Danny McBride (you've seen him in Tropic Thunder, Hot Rod and Pineapple Express) is so God damn funny as narcissistic, sexist, racist asshole ex-baseball player Kenny Powers I can't even process it. I hope to God HBO brings it back for another full season because six episodes just isn't enough.

I first saw this thread, and somehow thought that I was going to have to kill Evan for reminding me that the Smokey and the Bandit movies were a major part of my early childhood.

Glad to see this is not the case. But, as an umpire, Kenny Powers is funnier to me than most, because he'd never get away with 99.99999999999999999999% of that shit in a real ball game. =]

I watched the first episode yesterday. Not terrible funny but God damn did I laugh at like a handful of parts, belly laughs. I hear it gets better though.

It has slow bits, but that's part of the humor I think. Its really dark humor so there has to be those eerily serious moments to make the lighter moments that much funnier.

Just a note..

The video Stevie makes for Kenny is seriously the best thing I've ever seen. I wish I could get a copy of that shit.
